Donald Storer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John (Donald) Storer, 96 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Adams County Regional Medical Center, in Seaman, Ohio. Donald was born on May 12, 1928, in Peebles, Ohio, the son of the late John A. and Grace (Yankee) Storer. Donald was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He took great pride in working on the family farm and worked as a school bus driver until his retirement. He was a member of the Peebles Adult Farmers. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn (Pertuset) Storer, whom he married on December 5, 1951. As well as his siblings, Lowell Storer, Mildred VanZant and Mary Grace Murphy; and a great-granddaughter, Lillian Storer. Donald is survived by his children, Mike and Jackie Storer, of Peebles, Roger Storer, of Peebles and Donna and Tom Stevens, of Winchester and his brother, Ronnie Storer, of Greenfield. Donald will be dearly missed by his four grandchildren, J.M. Storer, Zack Storer, Bradley Stevens and Scott Stevens, along with his eight great-grandchildren. Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, Ohio. Funeral services will be held the following morning, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, in Peebles. Richard Lloyd will officiate the service. A military graveside by the Adams County Honor Guard will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
