Gary Gardner

Gary K Gardner, 71 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Ohio State University Medical Center Division of Palliative Care, in Columbus, Ohio. Gary was born on December 15, 1953, in West Union, Ohio, the son of the late Tassell and Bonnie (King) Gardner. Gary worked as a public servant, serving as the Adams County Clerk of Courts for many years. He belonged to the Clerk of Courts Association. Gary attended the Beech Fork Church, in Otway, Ohio. Gary is survived by his wife, Linda (West) Gardner, whom he married on December 17, 1978; his sons, Brian Hall, of Loveland; and Jared Gardner, of Peebles; and his daughters, Heather James, and Janie (Clayton) Rhoads, both of Peebles. He also leaves his brothers, Roger (Judy) Gardner, of West Union; Danny (Janice) Gardner, Stevie Gardner, and Larry (Robin) Gardner, all of Peebles; and his sisters, Kim (Steve) Wilson, of Peebles; Debbie (Larry) Nichols, of West Union; and Lisa (Michael) Dailey, of Peebles; as well as a brother-in-law, Randy (Judy) West, of Arkansas; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Gardner, of Peebles; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Maverick, Jenna, Myah, Carrigan, Kirsten, Greyson, Makenah, Braxton, and Luvinnia. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his grandchild, Carshall; and his brother, David Gardner. Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation on Thursday evening, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Beech Fork Church, in Otway, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, July 18, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am, at the Beech Fork Church, in Otway, with Tom Brown and Doug Brown officiating. Gary's burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, in Peebles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Gary's name to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Lung Transplant Department, 410 West 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
