Jeffrey Jay Combs

Jeffrey Jay Combs, age 64, of Williamstown, KY, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Jeff was born on August 3, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Jay and Donna (Hardin) Combs. Jeff worked as a lineman foreman for East Kentucky Power until his retirement. After retiring from East Kentucky Power, Jeff worked as an inspector for Bray Electric, but as most know in this line of work, once a lineman always a lineman. Jeff was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa (Jackson) Combs, who was his partner for 44 years. Jeff was the proud father of four children: Maria (Chad) Daniels, Jeffrey Combs Jr., Laura (Brent) McKinley, and John Combs. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Jeff's legacy extends to his 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. He was also a loving brother to Donita (Jerry) Gee, and an adored uncle. Jeff will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, boisterous demeanor, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family. His sense of humor and warmth touched everyone who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed. The family will hold a more intimate visitation for family and close friends on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Winchester, OH. Graveside services will be held following the visitation, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the Winchester Cemetery. Ryan Petrie will officiate the service. For those that want to pay their respects and cannot make it, the family will be holding a memorial/celebration of life at a later date to be determined. Jeff's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has provided support during this difficult time. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
