Glenna (Roush) Grooms, 79 years, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020, at the Brookdale Lakeview Crossing Assisted Living Center, Groveport, Ohio.
Glenna was born in West Union, Ohio, on July 14, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel (Hafer) Roush. Glenna was a retired West Union business owner, having run the Roush Insurance Agency for many years. She attended the Peebles Church of Christ. Glenna was an active member of the Draft Horse Friendship Club, the Adams County Democrat Club, the Jerusalem Grange, the Adams County Historical Society, and the Professional Insurance Agents. She also served as a 4-H adviser for 28 years.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, M Dale Grooms, whom she married on September 13, 1959. She also leaves behind a son, Jon (Lynn) Grooms, of Goshen, Ohio; and a daughter, Joy (Rich) Lazor, of Canal Winchester, Ohio; as well as two brothers, Gary Roush, of Painted Post, New York; and Dale Roush, of West Union; and a sister, Donna Cole, of Zanesville, Ohio. Glenna will be missed by her seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by Jason Bohl, will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial following in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Peebles. The family is grateful for all thoughts and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Glenna’s name to the Adams County Historical Society, P.O. Box 306, West Union, Ohio 45693.
