Obituary

Joseph “Sim” Workman, 102 years, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the Adams County Manor, in West Union, Ohio.
Sim was born in Boone County, West Virginia, on June 30, 1918, the son of the late John and Tena (Baisden) Workman. Sim served in the United States Army during World War II. After leaving the military, Sim worked as a farmer. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his parents, Sim was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister. He is survived by his two nephews, Gary Workman and Steve Workman, both of Peebles; and by a sister-in-law, Florence Workman, also of Peebles. Sim’s passing will be mourned by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services, officiated by Dave Hopkins, will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Peebles, Ohio. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
