Obituary

Mary Lou Smith, 99 years, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Heartland of Hillsboro Nursing Center, in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Mary Lou was born in Winchester, Ohio, on April 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Florence (Ramsey) Smith. After Mary Lou graduated from Winchester High School in 1940, she attended Wilmington College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. She taught music in the Winchester schools for 35 years, touching the lives of many generations of students. She also played in several bands, including the Liberty Band, of which she was the director for many years. Mary Lou is survived by cousins in Ohio, Georgia, West Virginia, and both North and South Carolina.
According to Mary Lou’s wishes, she is to be cremated. She will be buried in the Winchester Cemetery at a later date.

are condolences to are family we loved you mary lou I can remember you taking us to the back part of your property and showing us around and we use to fish and you grow cane poles and you took us back to one of your favorite fishing holes you are daning in the Heavens with all your loved one's thank you for a lot of good memories and we always had a good time when are dad would bring us down to visit I remember you feeding the birds and then you made friends with a squirrel and you would go out on the porch and that little guy would be waiting on you and one day he didn't come back any more and that made you very sad i'm glad you are with your dad and the rest of your family and you get to meet your mom who passed away in child birth we love you and we will miss you until we all meet again some day Rest In Peace Mary Lou Smith , Alice {Smith} Rigdon
