Mark A Byers, 62 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, formerly of McArthur, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Bethesda North Hospital, in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by his family. Mark was born on September 29, 1959, in Wellston, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Wanda (Nixon) Byers. Mark worked in sawmills and enjoyed tinkering in his garage with his son, Derek. Besides his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Tyrone Byers, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Mark is survived by his wife, Iva (Bush) Byers, whom he married on June 7, 1980. He also leaves a son, Derek L (Mariah) Byers, of Peebles; three brothers, Brent (Dyanna) Byers; Perry (Bonnie) Byers; and Nick (Patty) Byers, all of Peebles; and a sister, Roberta (Larry) McAtee, of McArthur; as well as a brother-in-law, Art (Judy) Bush; an uncle, Bruce (Mary Ann) Byers; and two aunts, Donna Byers and Brenda Byers. Mark will be missed by his two granddaughters, Katie and Riley, whom he adored. He was their "Pap." The family would like to extend its thanks to Mark's dialysis family, Gayle, Jennifer, Leanne, Vanessa, and Margret, for their support and care. Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Peebles, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Peebles, Ohio. Dave Hopkins will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Peebles, Ohio. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
