Albert "Batman" Masterson

Albert Jack Masterson "Batman", 83 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center, in Seaman, surrounded by his family. Batman was born on September 28, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late James and Adela (Gastastrich) Masterson. He worked many years as a truck driver and mechanic, careers that reflected both his strong work ethic and his natural skill with engines and machinery. He had a special love for his Harley-Davidson and found joy in riding it as often as he could, along with fishing, and sharing good times with his family and many friends. He was a proud member of MFMG for more than 40 years, where he built lifelong friendships and cherished memories. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2293, in Georgetown, Ohio. Batman is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Marie (Gohs) Masterson, of Peebles and his children who will miss him dearly, Josey and Cole Masterson, both of Peebles, Erica and Kenny Branch, of Seaman, Megan and Jerad Raines, of St. George, Utah, and Cheri Richards and Kim Masterson, both of Cincinnati. He also leaves his brother, Jim Masterson. Batman was a beloved grandfather to Kylie (Shawn), Kenny (Jessica), Kannen, Harley, Delilah, Preston, Colton, Tesla, Kashton, Jack, and Diana, and a proud great-grandfather to Ember, Breelend, Brightyn, Brenson, Destiny, and DJ. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert "Joe" Taylor. Batman's family and friends will remember him for his generous heart, adventurous spirit, and the love he carried for those closest to him. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched, and the many stories shared around family gatherings. Following his wishes, he is to be cremated, with a celebration of life being planned to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
