Sandra Kay Moore

Sandra Kay (Smalley) Moore, 77 years of age, of Peebles, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. Sandy was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on January 9, 1947, the daughter of the late W. Sanford and A. Louise (Burgett) Smalley, of Peebles, Ohio. Sandy worked for many years taking care of elderly loved ones, and then on to Eagle Creek Nursing Center, as a Dietary Cook, where she loved seeing the elderly residents and took great joy in getting to know each and every one of them. Sandy was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, and she took great pleasure in learning the Bible in greater detail and listening to the Praise & Worship services on Wednesday evenings. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard Moore, and by two brothers, Jim Smalley, of West Union, Ohio, and Bill Smalley, of Peebles, Ohio, one beloved sister, Mary Katherine Taylor, a special brother in-law, David Taylor, both of Springfield, Ohio, along with a son-in-law, David Mills, and one granddaughter, Sarah Beth Mills, both of Frankfort, Ohio. Sandy is survived by three daughters, Tangie Mills, of Frankfort, Ohio, Billie Stone, of Peebles, Ohio, & Misty Moore, of Portsmouth, Ohio, along with one son, Tony (Laura) Moore, of Peebles, Ohio, and one bonus son, Shane Moore, of Lynchburg, Ohio, eight grandchildren, three bonus grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two bonus great-grandchildren, along with a very special best friend, Casper Dwight. Sandy also leaves behind one very special brother, Larry (Patty) Smalley, of Seaman, Ohio, and two special sisters, Jo Ann Johnson, and Grace Ann (Rick) Davis, of Peebles; along with a sister-in-law, Carol Smalley. Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Peebles, Ohio. Graveside services will be held the following day, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am, at the Cedar Fork Chapel Cemetery, in Peebles, Ohio, with Rev. David Hopkins officiating.
